Petrelli's History

True family-owned restaurants are becoming a rare commodity these days, but this restaurant has been in the Petrelli family since 1931 and is celebrating their 80th anniversary this year.  Watch for special events and offerings related to our anniversary in November.

George Petrelli was introduced into the restaurant business in 1956 by his Uncle Joe Petrelli, who trained George in every aspect of the business. George specialized in the meat department since his Uncle Joe stressed that Petrelli's customers would be served only the highest quality of meat. George is proud to have carried on the tradition of serving the best in fine quality food while maintaining reasonable family prices.

Although Petrelli's Steakhouse has earned its reputation for its steaks, their menu has a varied selection of chicken, seafood and pasta entrees as well. Even though meat has been their trademark, their Eggplant Parmigiana and Baked Lamb Shank have received rave reviews -- and don't forget about those fabulous burgers!

Old school charm, another rarity today, is one of the best ways to describe the Petrelli ambiance and dining experience. The Petrelli famiglia will make you feel at ease as soon as you enter the front door -- you will think you are part of the family -- especially if George happens to be on premises and visits your table.

George along with his family are grateful for the many loyal customers and friends, some who are rather famous, that have patronized the restaurant for the past 80 years, and have considered the steakhouse a true Culver City landmark.

The next time you visit, stop by the lounge, you never know who you may see enjoying the Petrelli hospitality!
